This policy covers the RideVibe Technologies company website. It follows the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. RideVibe is the Data Fiduciary for data you send through this site. We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
1. ShareRides is separate
If you have a ShareRides account, the product privacy policy at sharerides.in/privacy explains account, trip, licence, vehicle and payout data. That policy is the one that applies to the app.
2. What this website collects
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If you use the contact form, your mail app sends your name, email, topic and message to info@sharerides.in. We keep that correspondence to reply to you. Your browser may also send a standard server log if the host records logs. We do not build advertising profiles from that.
3. Why we use it
We use contact mail to answer you, keep a record of a complaint, or meet a legal duty. We may use data without fresh consent only where the law allows it, for example a court or police order, or tax and legal duties.
4. Who else may see it
Our authorised team can read mail sent to the support addresses. If you write about a ShareRides trip, the product team may need the message to look into it. GoDaddy holds the ridevibe.in and sharerides.in domains and their DNS. Mail is routed through GoDaddy (secureserver.net). GoDaddy does not receive trip or account data. We share data with police, courts or authorities only when the law requires it. Mail you send travels through your email provider.
5. How long we keep it
We keep website enquiries while they are open and then for as long as we need them for support, a dispute, fraud prevention or the law. ShareRides account deletion is described on sharerides.in/delete-account and is completed within 30 days after we verify it.
6. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask for a summary of personal data we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, ask us to erase it, withdraw consent for further mail, nominate another person to use these rights if you die or cannot act, and raise a complaint. We may check that the request is yours. We reply within 30 days.
7. Age
ShareRides is only for people 18 or above. If you find that a child has sent us data or made a ShareRides account, mail info@sharerides.in and we will delete what we can.
8. Security
No system is fully secure. Please do not send OTPs, boarding PINs, passwords or copies of identity documents to the website form. Report suspected misuse to us quickly. If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9. Complaints
For a privacy question, access, correction or deletion request about this site, write to info@sharerides.in. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days. Details are on the grievance page. You can also approach the Data Protection Board of India.
10. Changes
We will update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top is the current version.
